Luther Domah Letter for DUDO electric project
I just came from Duayee City. Words are inadequate to describe the beauty of Duayee. Duayee is the only village in Liberia that acquired city status within the twinkle of an eye. I tell you Duayee Dealah Organization has installed a 17.5 KVA generator with more than 100 street lights. The city glitters with white lights and Christmas lights every night starting from 6:30 PM to 11:00 PM. The DPS campus, the Inland Mission and The Gonquoiseh’s Compound were not connected due to the inadequacy of wire. We will be sending the wire to complete the process within two weeks.
Before leaving, we selected two skilled persons to operate (start and stop) the machine daily. We determined the monthly cost of operating system to be $23,000 plus. Interestingly the monthly contribution per house agreed in meeting is $250.00 LD ($3.6 USD) excluding those who will carry light in their house. Accordingly there are 130 houses in Duayee that people are living in. We expect about $32,500.00 LD monthly and about $8,000.00 to be deposited in the Organization’s account monthly.
The entire citizens of Gbehyi in general and Duayee in particular extended heartfelt thanks and appreciation to you for your effort.
The project was pre financed by some citizens of Duayee till everybody can make good their contributions. We are planning to official dedicate the project and others under taken by Rev. Caleb Domah (Rice mill) on February 11, 2010. We will invite President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, the Diplomatic missions, NGOs and Press for this program. Details will be sent later.
I will send you more details later. See attachment.
Acting President, DUDO
