ESI is sponsoring the Executive Director of Tufeia Foundation, the Rev. Caleb Dormah, to attend the Fall 08 semester at the ECOSA Institute of Prescott, AZ, to learn about sustainability and help design the Sustainable Village and “green” structures.
As you can imagine, attending a 16-week Ecosa semester program is a huge financial commitment for Rev. Dormah, and ECOSA has extended him one of the two $600 tuition waivers offered each semester. However, the remaining costs are still prohibitory: air fare ($2400), the tuition balance ($3900), program expenses like books and supplies ($200), and living costs ($1775 for housing, at least $800 for food) add up to a substantial sum. As the Empowerment Society and the Tufeia Foundation attempt to raise these funds ahead of the start of the fall semester, we are also asking you, our supporters, to consider donating to the Caleb Dorman Scholarship Fund via ESIs Paypal feature on our website. You can also donate via the ECOSA website (www.ecosainstitute.org).
Caleb is dedicated to Liberia’s sustainability and his training at ECOSA can give him the professional skills to bring about sustainable practice and policy in Liberia, build capacity with the Tufeia staff so that they too can become sustainable managers, and enable the successful implementation of our designs in his home country. Please consider enabling this miraculous convergence with a gift today.
